Your Adventure
Your adventure starts in Campbell River, a small town on the East Coast of Vancouver Island in beautiful British Columbia.
Arrival Day
Our shuttle service will pick you up from your Hotel in Campbell River on the morning of your trip and take you to Vancouver Island Air. Check in with our staff here and get ready to board your Turbo Otter Seaplane and enjoy the 35 minute scenic flight through Strathcona Provincial Park to the west coast of Vancouver Island where our lodge sits peacefully waiting for you. Your plane will land right on the ocean, and pull up to the dock at our floating resort!
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our staff who will take your bags and place them in your accommodations. A wonderful hot lunch is ready for you in the dining room, sit down and enjoy while Brian Gage and Ryan Jacobs welcome you with an orientation speech to get you familiar with our facilities and operations.
Grab some snacks and refreshments and head to your boat, the rest of your day will be spent fishing aboard your personal Grady White, captained by one of our professional guides.
Every Day
Wake up early to a nice hot coffee, and breakfast cooked to your liking by our Chef. Your lunch has already been prepared and placed on your boat, all you need to do is grab some snacks and refreshments and you’re ready to head out on the water for 10 hours of fully guided fishing and adventure.
Fish, explore or even comb the beautiful beaches on the west coast – you have 10 hours on the water to enjoy as you please. Our guides are not only experienced fishing guides, they also have a wealth of knowledge on the area and its history.
Upon your return to the lodge, our dock staff will help you off of your boat and unload your fish, weigh it in at our scale and prepare it for processing.
Our chefs have prepared some delicious appetizers for you to enjoy on the front dock with a drink of your choice while dinner is prepared. Once the dinner bell sounds, it’s time to head in to the dining room where you will enjoy a specially curated 3 course meal accompanied by complimentary house wine. Just before dinner is over, Brian and Ryan will give a quick speech to provide a brief fishing report and outlook for the next days fun on the water.
After dinner head upstairs to our lounge and grab a drink to enjoy by the fire on our huge front dock and enjoy the sunset, a perfect way to end an unforgettable day in Nootka Sound!
Departure Day
Wake up early and spend your last morning fishing, or enjoy a sleep in if you please! Brunch isn’t until 10:30, you won’t want to miss a delightful eggs benedict before the plane ride home!
Your plane will arrive at 11:40 to take you back to Campbell River, our shuttle service is also available today to take you back to your hotel, or the airport in either Campbell River or Comox.
If you are taking your fish home with you, it will be processed, frozen and waiting here at the airport for you.
