Nootka Sound is Vancouver Island’s premier sport fishing destination for Chinook (King) and Coho (Silver) salmon. Our lodge is recognized as one of the finest sport fishing resorts on the west coast. We are tucked into Galiano Bay, a short boat ride from the rugged West Coast where wildlife is abundant. Bears, wolves, whales, dolphins, eagles and otters are a few of the incredible wild species encountered daily, right from our dock.

NWL provides all the comfort & personal attention that people hope for when away from home. We cant always control the weather or fishing, which is why we make sure that the service and comfort you experience at our lodge is second to none!

After a short thirty minute flight over breathtaking scenery you will land in historic Nootka Sound where we await your arrival. Anglers are welcome to take home some fish during their visit; our guides are well-informed about current catch limits and equipped to assist you in securing a year-round supply to feed your family.

We meticulously handle your fresh catch to ensure you leave with a product you’re proud to share. Each evening, our staff cleans and prepares your fish, keeping it on-site until the trip’s final day. On your last night at the lodge, you’ll complete a “fish form” with your guide, detailing how you want each fish processed. After processing, your labeled, vacuum-sealed portions are flash-frozen, neatly packed into a box or styrofoam cooler, ready for pick-up upon your arrival at Vancouver Island Air the next day.
