Nootka Sound is Vancouver Island’s premier sport fishing destination for Chinook (King) and Coho (Silver) salmon. Our lodge is recognized as one of the finest sport fishing resorts on the west coast. We are tucked into Galiano Bay, a short boat ride from the rugged West Coast where wildlife is abundant. Bears, wolves, whales, dolphins, eagles and otters are a few of the incredible wild species encountered daily, right from our dock.

NWL provides all the comfort & personal attention that people hope for when away from home. We cant always control the weather or fishing, which is why we make sure that the service and comfort you experience at our lodge is second to none!

The lodge itself is a spectacular floating resort with 2 incredible facilities for you to enjoy. Nootka Wilderness Lodge provides all of the comfort and personal attention that you hope for while away from home.

The main lodge features a beautiful dining room with large live edge fir tables created right in our backyard and a sprawling lounge with comfortable couches and games for you to enjoy. After a full day of fishing and adventure, our large front deck is the perfect spot for you to relax, unwind and enjoy the sunset with friends.

Having our guest rooms on a separate lodge ensures a good nights rest, no matter what time you choose to lay down. Our sleeping quarters are separate from the main lodge and feature 10 cozy guest rooms. Your private room will have 2 or 3 beds for you and your fishing partner, along with your own private 3 piece ensuite bathroom stocked with toiletries and towels.
