A LUXURIOUS FISHING EXPERIENCE
Nootka Wilderness Lodge is located on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, this remarkable area on the unspoiled coast is also known as “the salmon highway” and is touted as one of British Columbia’s premier sportfishing destinations for targeting Chinook (King) and Coho (Silver) Salmon. Starting in June and right thru until September, salmon start their migration down Vancouver Islands coast and we are situated in the perfect spot to intercept these astonishing fish on their journey south.
The large amounts of schooling baitfish in Nootka Sound during the summer months also brings in the bottom fish. Healthy populations of Halibut, Ling Cod and an impressive spread of Rock Fish are all found just offshore of Nootka Island this time of year as well.
Fully Guided Fishing Experience
Wake up early to a nice hot coffee and breakfast cooked to your liking by our Chef. Your lunch has already been prepared and placed on your boat, all you need to do is grab some snacks and refreshments and you’re ready to head out on the water for 10 hours of fully guided fishing and adventure.
Our professional guides are prepared and ready to provide an experience on the water like no other. Salmon are our priority, bottom fish are plentiful but a break from angling to explore and enjoy the wildlife and beauty of Nootka Sound is an opportunity not to be looked past!
After a day of adventure you’ll return to the lodge, greeted by our deckhands who are ready and eager to unload, weigh and prepare your fish for processing. Our bartender will be waiting to fetch you a refreshment and our chefs will have a delightful assortment of appetizers on the dock to snack on before our signature gourmet dishes are served in the dining room at dinner. House wine is complimentary with dinner.
